Apr. 18th, 2007 @ 11:53 pm Well
"Defenceman Wade Redden has struggled through the first 4 games of the series and was directly responsible for the Penguins lone goal in Game 4. With the improvement of Anton Volchenkov and Joe Corvo, Redden's role on the team has diminished and there are now rumours circulating that the blueliner could be on his way to Edmonton in the off-season. Those rumours are being fuelled by the fact Oilers coach Craig MacTavish and head scout Charlie Huddy have made appearances during the series. - Ottawa Sun" retrieved through tsn.ca-

I've already *almost* shed a few tears over this. He has ONE bad season (let's not forget highest +/= rating last season) plagued by injuries and person problems (his mother did just die almost a year ago) and everyone is jumping on some big I HATE WADE REDDEN band wagon.
:-(

You hit the nail on the head: it has been ONE bad season. And even then, when he's been out with his various injuries, the team has struggled (and mostly lost games) without him there. But, yes, let's just forget that fact, as well as the rest of his impressive career, and begin a campaign to have him thrown out of the organization he is so much a part of. *sigh* Personally I think those band-wagoners are just jealous. :P

In my journal I've begun a "Wednesdays With Wade!" campaign in which I celebrate our wonderful defenceman with lots of love and accolades. We just have to battle all that negative with lots of positives! :)

Seriously, forget the fact that the Sens seem to lose when he isn't around or that he's been around for TEN YEARS (holy FRANCHISE PLAYER..It's not the Sens without the franchise players!) but because he was hurt (God forbid he get injured while playing a physical sport :-O) let's get rid of him. And to EDMONTON. EDMONTON sucks..:-s

Oh, but he's not allowed to get injured. After all, he makes 6.5 million dollars! *snort* But since he did go and get all hurt (silly human), he is still supposed to go out and play a 100% perfect game! Every. Single. Time. No exceptions. And every good thing that he does do out there, we must overlook them all and continue bashing him just because. Love the logic! :P

Wade is one of those players that I just can't see on another team. I want him on my Ottawa Senators FOR LIFE! &hearts

If Wade isn't a Senator next season, I will throw myself out the window of a very high building. Peace Tower, maybe? Highest point in the Nation's Capital after all...

ILU WADE ♥

I guess I will have a new favourite team if he is traded. I am a Sens fan but I am a total Wade fan at heart....God, I've been a huge fan for ten years and if he leaves it will be SOOO impossible to meet him ever again. :-(

I guess I might be moving to Edmonton. :-P
